Office of Communications (Ofcom)
Ofcom is the telecoms regulator, set up by the government to regulate fixed line telecoms and mobiles and the wireless spectrum. It is also the organisation responsible for regulation of the TV and radio sectors. Beaming’s Code of Practice has been approved by Ofcom, with whom we are registered.

Office of the Telecommunications Ombudsman (Otelo)
Otelo provides an independent complaints mediation service for the telecommunications industry. As of 22 July 2011, public communications providers must provide their customers with access to an independent and impartial dispute resolution service (ADR), such as Otelo. Beaming has been a member of Otelo since December 2004.

Regional Internet Registries (RIPE)
RIPE is the Regional Internet Registry covering Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia. The RIPE Network Co-ordination Centre allocates Internet Resources (such as IPv4, IPv6 addresses, Autonomous System (AS) numbers and Reverse DNS delegations) to organisations in their service region, which includes the UK. Beaming has RIPE membership.

Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is the independent authority responsible for enforcing the Data Protection Act. This act applies to personal information and aims to ensure that companies handle personal information correctly. Beaming takes its data security responsibilities very seriously and we are registered with the ICO. Our registration number is Z8872701. The ICO is also responsible for Freedom of Information.
